Poor Obama...

Continuing with the important Obama Care Act, we have successfully gained a foothold on whether we want to enroll online or through our employer. I stumbled upon an opinion article from USA Today called "HealthCare.gov feeds doubts about rollout: Our view" written by their editorial board. In this article they happened to favor that this website is supposed to 'help' the American people with their health insurance is having glitches because the whole act in itself is much unorganized. The author really wants the reader to side with them. However, I tend to strongly disagree! Let’s be real, this is the internet and glitches happen. And just because it is Obama's idea to push this through, it does NOT mean that it is HIS fault because the site is experiencing difficulties.
Sure, I agree with the author with his claims regarding that the site was experiencing some sort of lag due to the fact that hundreds of people are trying to load the site at once, but I just cannot wrap my mind around the fact that some people are arguing that this is Obama's fault. Some people are claiming that this is also a way of congress simply buying time because they were so unsure of this act actually going through.
The author is intending the audience to be the general public; they would like the reader to really think about other scenarios as to why the site is experiencing so many problems. They ask questions like, is there a deeper meaning to all of this, or if Obama really had good intentions would he not of made sure to check the site over and over again? I think that some people are looking for a deeper meaning of the website problems, when it is just simply lagging due to the mass amounts of usage.

Let's save the children!

One of today's biggest topics is the Obama care act. People cannot figure out if it is a good thing or a bad thing. While reading up on USA Today I came across Irwin Redlener and Jane Pauley's opinion article called, "Health key to classroom success". I found this article very interesting because it showed a side of the Obama care act that everyone tends to ignore, and it is that of the children. Not only are adults affected by this care act but children as well.

In the article they mention children in poor and rough areas that cannot afford to go to the doctor and or dentist and have to suffer day in and day out are now being treated. They are now covered with insurance so they can live on a daily basis without the fear of getting sick or having to suppress an injury because their parents cannot afford a visit to a local health facility.

The authors argue that this is a good thing, and the care act is going in the right direction but it needs to be pushed a little further to get in rolling in action. I tend to agree with the authors. This is amazing to finally have a care act where children are covered and can be tended but health care partners. Children should be covered no matter what to maintain a well rounded education. Pauley and Redlener make this article intended for the public to know what is going on. Again, I totally agree with the claims they are making, I feel this is very important and this could be a huge game changer for the United States if followed consistently.
